PAUL-ERIK REE; 1996-1998

It is with much sadness that I report the passing of Paul-Erik Ree, IFHE Past President 1996-1998, who was known and respected for his involvement in, and support of, IFHE, over a period of close to thirty years.

His_presence at IFHE Congresses and other IFHE events will be missed - particularly by those who served with him on the IFHE Executive Committee, where his definitely stated opinions contributed significantly to several decisions made by Council.
In a message sent Sunday 14 March 2010, his wife Ingrid (e-mail ivs.peree@stofanet.dk ) says:
Dear Bernard Shapiro,
I am very sorry to inform you and IFHE that Paul-Erik just this morning the 14th March has died at the Skeiby Hospital in Denmark. Paul-Erik has had a problem with his kidney for many years, and his has been to dialysis every 3 days a week, since 1994. His body got very weak, and the last 3 weeks he spent in the hospital. Paul-Erik and I have been very pleased to participate in the Congresses of IFHE, we have been to all since our first time in Washington D.C. in 1980.
